This piece is also from my "Communication Design Fundamentals" class. After we studied the history of type development and type features such as ligature, leading, kerning, etc., we were asked to create a piece to showcase the aesthetic appeal of a font of our choice. I used a Swiss grid and negative and positive space to highlight the symmetry and unique serifs of Footlight MT Light. The original piece is mounted on a 8'x8' Bristol board piece.
